MetaMask 0.6.1 / Security

MetaMask privacy and account security

Understand stored wallet associations, privacy tools, and data that is never retained as a login secret.

Wallet addresses and account-association metadata participate in WordPress privacy export and erasure. Proofs, signatures, nonces, and provider session state are not stored as reusable login secrets.

Fresh pages do not silently reconnect. Linking, replacement, unlinking, and login are explicit actions. Replacing or unlinking may require recent reauthentication or a second factor owned by SnapWeb Auth.

Provider-neutral security events omit the complete wallet address. Never ask a user for a seed phrase or private key, and never paste signatures or challenge payloads into public support channels.

Erasing the association removes wallet login; it does not erase public blockchain history or automatically delete the WordPress account.
