Search provides one permission-aware query contract for Social Terminal, WordPress, SnapWeb, and supported official integrations. It owns sources, access checks, result normalization, terminal commands, and the local fallback—not the surrounding site's header or page layout.

Free and Pro

Free searches public WordPress posts and pages. It includes the local search interface, REST result contract, and terminal commands where Social Terminal is active.

Search Pro unlocks supported ecosystem sources such as public users and authors, Cointacted content, SnapWeb Docs, commerce products, and FluentCommunity content. Each source remains available only when its owning plugin is active and the current visitor may view the item. Unknown source capabilities fail closed.

Search Pro is independent from SnapWeb or FluentCommunity presentation licenses. A host may display Search only through its own reviewed integration contract.

Interfaces and commands

The plugin supplies normalized results to an owning interface. On Cointacted's SnapWeb site, the SnapWeb header and /search/ page use that contract. The compact header search shows fast suggestions and transfers the query to the full search page; filters and the complete result list belong on the page.

Terminal commands include search TERM, s TERM, find TERM, search sources, and available scoped forms. Visible labels may be customized in Pro, while stable command and source IDs remain unchanged.

Privacy and indexing

Every query rechecks source availability and viewer permissions. Results contain only normalized public fields such as title, excerpt, URL, source, and an optional public image. Passwords, secrets, private messages, and inaccessible content must never be indexed or returned.

External indexing is optional. Social Terminal Search can accelerate registered collections with Typesense, but local WordPress search remains the baseline and server credentials never enter the browser.
