Troubleshoot Shortcodes
Fix missing tags, conflicting commands, rejected arguments, and unsafe output.
- Shortcode tag is missing: activate the owning plugin and confirm the exact registered tag.
- Command is missing: verify the mapping is enabled, uniquely named, and visible to the current user.
- Argument is rejected: compare the saved allowlist, type, allowed values, and length.
- Output is empty: test the shortcode directly as the same actor and define a useful mapping empty state.
- Output contains markup or controls: choose a safer output mode or disable the mapping until the owner supplies a reviewed terminal representation.
- Owner update changed behavior: retest and revise the mapping; never forward new attributes automatically.
