Shortcodes

Shortcodes is a free allowlist bridge between registered WordPress shortcodes and Social Terminal commands. An administrator selects the shortcode tag, fixed defaults, permitted arguments, visibility, and output mode in advance. Terminal users cannot choose an arbitrary shortcode.

What it owns

The plugin that registered the original shortcode still owns its content, data, and business rules.

Free product boundary

All shortcode mapping features are free. No Pro entitlement is required. The plugin does not install shortcode providers and does not turn shortcode output into a native SnapWeb or FluentCommunity application surface.

Security boundary

The terminal resolves only a saved mapping, rechecks the current actor, constructs sanitized attributes, renders the registered shortcode, and converts the result into terminal-safe output. Interactive forms, payments, account controls, scripts, nonce-bearing HTML, and broad user-controlled shortcode containers are unsuitable mappings.

Frontend MCP may read safe readiness information but cannot execute mapped shortcodes. Presentation-oriented shortcode output remains blocked remotely until it has a dedicated server-safe rendering contract.
