Search terminal commands

Search all available sources or restrict a query to one reviewed scope.

  • search TERM, s TERM, and find TERM run universal search.
  • search sources lists scopes available to the current user.
  • Scoped examples include search posts roadmap, s shop hoodie, s com update, and find users NAME.

Exact scopes depend on enabled, available sources and current permissions. Pro may rename visible source labels and define non-conflicting aliases, while stable REST source IDs and command identities remain unchanged.

Run help search for live syntax. Test a public result, private result, unavailable source, query below minimum length, and no-result query. Terminal results must open canonical URLs and must not reveal a source or count the current user cannot access.
