AI Free versus Pro
Choose the AI capability level that matches the site’s users, context, and operating limits.
Free
Free connects one supported provider or deterministic Demo mode to Social Terminal. It includes the ai, ask, ai-help, ai-status, ai-setup, ai-reset, and browser-mode commands, protective request limits, short expiring context, permission-aware command recommendations, connection tests, and privacy-safe diagnostics.
Free recommendations are always insert-and-review. The model may suggest a command, but it cannot execute it or bypass the command owner’s capability checks.
Pro
Pro raises the configurable request and context ceilings, supports an independently tested fallback provider, and allows supported official add-ons to contribute bounded, sanitized context. The add-on that owns the data still decides what the current user may see.
Pro may run an administrator-approved read-only recommendation when every server check succeeds. Mutating, unknown, browser-only, and capability-mismatched recommendations remain blocked.
What neither plan does
Neither plan grants a model WordPress administrator authority, stores durable chat history by default, or includes provider usage charges. Provider availability, model access, billing, and retention remain subject to the selected external provider.
Start with Free and Demo mode. Add Pro only when the site needs fallback routing, larger bounded context, official add-on context, or guarded read-only runs.
