Gamification Free versus Pro
The enforced runtime boundary between ledger essentials and paid automation.
Free versus Pro
Gamification is usable without Pro. The upgrade expands the same ledger and member model; it does not replace Free data with a separate paid system.
Free
Free includes:
- one active point type with whole-number precision;
- exact balances and an immutable transaction ledger;
- whole-number manual awards, deductions, transfers, and reversals;
- canonical event ingestion for custom integrations;
- signed-in member summaries and private history;
- every Gamification WordPress block and shortcode;
- the documented PHP and REST foundation;
- basic system status and diagnostics.
Free is appropriate for a site that needs one native Cointacted points currency, manual or custom-code movements, and member-facing reward history without external gamification providers.
Pro
Pro adds:
- unlimited point types;
- zero-to-eighteen decimal places per point type;
- visual reward rules and the WordPress activity adapter;
- achievements, ranks, campaigns, quests, streaks, and leaderboards;
- myCred and GamiPress import, synchronization, reconciliation, and reviewed event conversion;
- native member-profile tabs through supported BuddyPress, BuddyBoss, PeepSo, and FluentCommunity adapters;
- migration tools, advanced diagnostics, repair workflows, and configuration exports;
- licensed native add-on presentation where the relevant SnapWeb or FluentCommunity bridge also has Pro access.
An adapter license does not unlock Gamification Pro, and Gamification Pro does not unlock a separate adapter. Each product evaluates its own capability on the server. SureDash 1.11 does not expose a supported extension point for third-party member-profile tabs, so the SureDash adapter intentionally does not inject brittle markup into its profile screen.
What happens if Pro expires
Entitlements are checked at runtime. If Pro expires, paid listeners and scheduled synchronization stop, new paid mutations return a clear error, and the saved configuration remains available to an administrator. Existing definitions, earned records, balances, and history stay readable.
Additional point types and decimal balances are never deleted, rounded, or rewritten. Free may continue whole-number manual movements against an existing decimal type while exact stored balances remain intact. Saved checkpoints and idempotency keys let synchronization resume after reactivation without replaying movements already posted.
Before depending on a Pro workflow in production, deactivate its entitlement on a staging site and confirm the documented read-only fallback for members and administrators.
